Summer has a way of imprinting itself on our senses, creating memories that linger long after the season fades.
Here’s a memory from long ago, of a time and place:
Heat. Red dust. Roses. Mangoes. Papaya. Coriander. Guavas. Limes. Rambling bougainvillea. Who could forget the jasmine rows. Gravel path. All behind a tall hedge, crumbling wall and wooden gate with a worn metal latch - hot to the touch.
The day simmers. Dragon flies dart. Street dogs take to the shade. The cows are the matriarchs. Marching on.
Watch out, nothing gets past them.
Home to a tiny mining village in the north of India, surrounded by jungle.
Our candle captures that essence. Summer is a heady, aromatic blend of Persian lime, lemongrass and spicy notes - inspired by an Indian summer.
